The Union Public Service Commission has issued a call for applications for different Assistant Public Prosecutor and other positions. Interested individuals could apply online for UPSC Assistant Public Prosecutor positions at upsc.gov.in. This UPSC recruitment campaign intends to fill 18 Assistant Public Prosecutor and other departmental positions. Candidates should keep in mind that the application period will be open until October 12, 2023.

Candidates will be chosen based on a recruiting exam, followed by an interview stage. Candidates who are shortlisted for interviews based on the information supplied in their online applications will be requested to deliver self-attested copies of papers and appropriate certifications in support of the claims made in the application as and when the Commission requests.

Candidates may apply for UPSC recruitment 2023 by following the simple procedures outlined below.

  • Pay any relevant application fees.

Candidates from the General, EWS, and OBC categories must pay an application fee of Rs 25. Females, SC, ST, and Persons with Benchmark Disability are excluded from paying the application cost.

Eligibility Criteria for UPSC Public Prosecutor Recruitment

The following are the UPSC Public Prosecutor qualifying criteria:

Qualifications in Education

  • A law degree from a reputable university.
  • Basic computer word processing and internet expertise.
  • Experience:
  • Seven years of experience as an Advocate in criminal cases, OR
  • Seven years of experience in the State Judicial Service or a State or Central Government Legal Department

Note:

The UPSC has the authority to relax the standards for otherwise competent candidates, and this relaxation shall be documented in writing.

If applicants from Scheduled Castes (SC) or Scheduled Tribes (ST) are not available in sufficient numbers to fill the reserved seats, the UPSC may waive the experience criterion. If the UPSC deems it essential at any point of the selection process, the relaxation would be documented in writing.
