The University Grants Commission – National Eligibility Test (UGC NET 2024) will be administered by the National Testing Agency (NTA) from June 10 to June 21. The 2024 UGC NET test is used to award Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) and Assistant Professor Eligibility Certificates.

The NTA published the UGC NET 2024 test dates today at the official website, nta.ac.in, along with the JEE Main, CUET UG, and NEET UG 2024 exam dates. In June and December of each year, the NET test is administered. According to the most recent notification, the NTA will release the UGC NET results in the second week of July, three weeks following the exam’s conclusion.

Applicants receive the eligibility certificate based on their combined results in UGC NET Papers 1 and 2. For 83 topics, a computer-based test (CBT) format is used for the exam. The previous session took place in 181 cities around the nation over the course of two stages that lasted nine days.

In all, 6,39,069 applicants took the UGC NET test last year. Candidates should be aware that they will not be eligible for the JRF scholarship if they only meet the requirements for associate professor.

According to UGC rules, 6% of applicants who appear in both examinations and receive the minimum required marks in the combined score for both papers are deemed NET qualified.

UGC NET Exam Date 2024

For each topic, the UGC NET first shift for Paper 1 is from 9 am to 12 pm, while the UGC NET second shift is from 3 pm to 6 pm. The NTA has announced the 2024 date for the UGC NET test for assistant professors.
