The University Grants Commission (UGC) has officially allowed students to pursue two full-time degree programs simultaneously, even in different streams. This means that a student can study Engineering & Economics together, or pursue B.Sc. in Data Science along with a B.A. in Psychology.
This decision aligns with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, which aims to offer more flexibility & multidisciplinary learning opportunities. The new rule will be applicable from the 2025-26 academic session.
