SWAYAM: UGC opens enrollment for SWAYAM course on social responsibility and community involvement
The Massive Online Open Course (MOOC) on community involvement and social responsibility that is being provided on the SWAYAM site is now accepting registrations, according to the University Grants Commission (UGC).
The list of MOOCs that are ready for academic institutions to provide for the summer 2023 semester has also been made public by the commission. On the official website, swayam.gov.in/UGC, candidates can submit an application for the MOOC.
The UGC secretary in a letter to the universities, says, “I am delighted to inform you that considering the huge response from the learners across nation, UGC has also opened the registration for the SWAYAM Course on “Community Engagement and Social Responsibility” which is a major recommendation of NEP 2020, as part of Unnat Bharat Abhiyan (UBA) in lndia on the SWAYAM Platform.”
The University Grants Commission (UGC) also asked the universities to set up a committee to investigate the viability of adopting SWAYAM courses (Credit Framework for Online Learning Courses through Study Webs of Active Learning for Young Aspiring Minds).
The UGC, the National Programme on Technology Enhanced Learning (NPTEL), the Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU), the Consortium for Educational Communication (CEC), and the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Bangalore are among the organisations that provide courses through MOOCs.
The PDF contains information about the course start and end dates, the number of credits, the number of weeks, and the link to the SWAYAM platform course.
