SSC Steno Result 2025: The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has officially announced the results of the Computer-Based Test (CBT) for the Stenographer Grade ‘C’ and ‘D’ Examination 2024. Candidates who appeared for the exam can now check their results on the official SSC website. The CBT was conducted on 10th and 11th December 2024 across various examination centers nationwide.

This marks a significant step in the recruitment process for Stenographer positions in government departments.

Key Highlights of the SSC Steno Result 2025

The SSC has released the results for both Grade ‘C’ and Grade ‘D’ Stenographer posts. A total of 9,345 candidates have qualified for the Skill Test for Stenographer Grade ‘C’, while 26,610 candidates have qualified for the Skill Test for Stenographer Grade ‘D’. The results are based on the normalized marks obtained by the candidates, as the examination was conducted in multiple shifts. The normalization process ensures fairness in evaluating candidates who appeared in different shifts.

Cut-off Marks and Category-wise Qualifying Candidates

The Commission has fixed the minimum qualifying marks for different categories as follows:

  • UR (Unreserved): 30%
  • OBC/EWS: 25%
  • SC/ST/PwD/ESM: 20%

The cut-off marks for each category and the number of candidates who have qualified for the Skill Test are detailed in the result notification. For Stenographer Grade ‘C’, the cut-off marks range from 40.17497 for HH (Hearing Handicapped) to 148.57526 for UR, OBC, and EWS categories. Similarly, for Stenographer Grade ‘D’, the cut-off marks range from 40.04063 for ESM (Ex-Servicemen) to 130.93746 for UR category.

Withheld and Cancelled Candidatures

The SSC has withheld the results of 7 candidates due to ongoing court cases. Additionally, the candidature of 4 candidates has been cancelled, and 2 candidates have had their applications rejected. These candidates will not be eligible to proceed to the next stage of the recruitment process.

Next Stage: Skill Test in Stenography

Candidates who have qualified in the CBT will now be required to appear for the Skill Test in Stenography. The Skill Test is a crucial stage in the selection process, as it evaluates the candidates’ proficiency in stenography, which is essential for the role of a Stenographer. The schedule for the Skill Test will be announced on the SSC website in due course.
