Aspirants for the MBBS and BDS programmes in medical colleges will also be eligible to register for the stray vacancy round in the National Eligibility Entrance Test (NEET) UG counselling 2023 this year, which was not permitted in the previous round of counselling.

Beginning on July 20, registration for round one will be open. The 2023–24 counselling schedule was released today by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC).

MCC offers NEET UG counselling to 15% of students. All India Quota (AIQ) seats are available at deemed universities in the centre, at AIIMS, and in other central institutions.

Based on NEET scores and other requirements for medical admissions, certain states have begun the online counselling procedure. Both the state quota (85% of seats) and the all India quota (15% of seats) have separate NEET counselling sessions. AIQ NEET counselling is handled by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC), which has not yet started the application process.

Candidates may fill choices in the NEET UG counselling 2023 stray vacancy round in addition to registering with MCC. Prior to last year, the final round of counselling took into account the decisions made by candidates in the mop up round.
