More Than 51,000 Appointment Letters to New Recruits: PM Narendra Modi at Rozgar Mela

Today, October 28, 2023, during the 8th edition of the Rozgar Mela, PM Narendra Modi addressed the assembly virtually. Our respected PM mentioned various highlights of the #rozgarmela and stated various changes that would change our country for good. 

While engaging the event on the 8th edition of Rozgar Mela, PM Modi announced the official distribution of about 51,106 appointment letters to new recruits. 

Rozgar Mela will be held at 45 locations across the country, and the initiative is managed under the Government of India’s initiative, Mission Recruitment. The recruiters will join different posts and positions under the government of India, including Inspector, Sub-Inspector, PA, MTS, Nurse, Ticket Clerk, Income Tax Inspector, Supervisor, Teacher, Librarian, Assistant Professor, Probationary Officers, and many others as well.

PM Modi described the change and the bloom in our economy through these initiatives while stating, ‘From food to pharma, from space to startups, it is necessary for all the sectors to grow for the economy’.

Modi Ji encouraged the new recruits to grab the opportunity to the fullest, and this would surely result in India becoming one of the top three economies of the world. 

He mentioned other programs like ‘Go Vocal for Local and Jan Dhan Yojana’ which were introduced a few years back to encourage the youth, also with the purchase of Made in India goods like laptops, computers, and other electronics would result in the boost in the manufacturing industries and job opportunities as well. 

He even urged the new batch of paramilitary recruits to join and enroll themselves in the new portal to uplift their knowledge to the fullest.  “Whatever you will learn during these courses will help you in becoming an excellent officer” he further added.

What is Rozgar Mela?

This Rozgar Mela is a 1 or 2-day event that encourages employment initiatives in the country, The Government of India has been serving this for a few years now and the main focus of these events is to provide suitable job opportunities in the private sector to the unemployed youth of the country.

With the start of this program, there have been over 2.18 lakh registrations and around 93 thousand candidates have been recruited for the same by different private companies during Rozgar mela. Moreover, startups have established over 40 lakh direct and indirect jobs across the country.

India’s growth has been evident in the past decade, in sectors like the health sector, agriculture sector, ports sectors, and even the manufacturing of defense weapons. Thus, with this, employment opportunities are on the high rise too, and grabbing these in the meantime will establish a better future for India.
