Today, September 4, the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) will wrap up registration for the third phase of National Eligibility Entrance Test (NEET) undergraduate counselling 2023. On the official website, mcc.nic.in, eligible applicants can submit their applications for round three of admission to All India Quota (AIQ) quota seats in MBBS and BDS programmes given by medical and dental institutions.

The NEET UG counselling 2023 Round 3 choice-filling will conclude on September 5. Seat allocation will be processed between September 6 and September 7. On September 8, MCC will release the NEET UG counselling 2023 round 3 seat allocation results.

MCC Counselling works?

MCC handles the admissions counselling for undergraduate programmes like MBBS, BDS, and BSc Nursing. According to the candidates’ NEET exam scores, the counselling process is carried out. A cutoff list is then made public, determining the minimal scores needed for admission to various MBBS, BDS, and nursing colleges.

Aligarh Muslim University, Banaras Hindu University, University of Delhi, Faculty of Dentistry, Jamia Millia Islamia, Delhi, Employee State Insurance Corporation (ESIC), and Armed Forces Medical College, Pune) seats reserved under the All India Quota (AIQ)/institutional quota/domicile (internal candidates), are admitted to MBBS, BDS, and BSc Nursing colleges through the MCC counselling. The MCC NEET counselling is also used for AIIMS and JIPMER admissions.

Counselling Process:  MCC NEET UG 2023

Online MCC NEET UG counselling is available at mcc.nic.in. There will be four NEET counselling sessions for AIQ seats: Rounds 1, 2, 3, and Stray Vacancy Round. The number of rounds will vary according to the amount of open seats. MCC announced two more rounds of counselling for the admissions to the BSc Nursing and BDS programmes last year. Government and private medical colleges, deemed and central universities, ESIC/AFMS institutes, AIIMS, and JIPMER are allotted seats. The process is as follows, step by step:

Q1. Who conducts NEET counselling?

A: Central or national and state counselling are the two categories into which NEET counselling is divided. The Medical Counselling Committee, or MCC, oversees the central counselling for NEET. The 15% All India Quota (AIQ) seats are available for admission through the NEET counselling procedure, which is run by MCC.
