Aligarh : Aligarh Muslim University’s Maulana Azad Library is organizing a two-day Manuscript and Book Exhibition on the occasion of Ali Day, marking the birth anniversary of Hazrat Ali Ibn Abi Talib. The exhibition will be inaugurated by Professor Naima Khatoon, Vice Chancellor of AMU, on January 14 at 10:00 AM in the Museum and Manuscript Division of the library.

Professor Nishat Fatima, University Librarian, highlighted that the exhibition will display over 50 rare manuscripts and historical artifacts, including a Holy Qur’an believed to be handwritten by Hazrat Ali and a 900-year-old copy of Nahjul Balagha, a collection of Hazrat Ali’s speeches and aphorisms. Other significant exhibits include Qasida-e-Hafiz, written in Khatte-Nakhun (nail script), and a Qasida authored by Asif Khan, father of Mumtaz Mahal.

Books detailing Hazrat Ali’s life and virtues, along with diverse editions of the Holy Qur’an in multiple languages, will also be on display. The exhibition provides a unique opportunity for visitors to explore cultural heritage, scholarly achievements, and the profound teachings of Hazrat Ali.

The exhibition will remain open to the public from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM on January 14 and 15.
