JoSAA 2023: 3rd round seat allotment list is OUT today at josaa.nic.in, what’s next for candidates?

Joint Seat Allotment Authority (JoSAA) made the third round of seat allocation public today. Candidates, who submitted applications for the third round of IIT and NIT admissions can check and obtain their JoSAA seat allotment results on the official website, josaa.nic.in,
On July 14, the third round of counselling will be completed. By July 15, candidates must answer to any inquiries the institute may have. On July 16, the JoSAA fourth round counselling list will be made public.
By visiting the official website, josaa.nic.in, and logging in with their application number and password, applicants can view the JoSAA seat allocation results. Before the deadline, the students must upload the necessary papers in PDF format. Candidates from the general category must pay a cost of Rs. 35,000, while those from the SC, ST, general-PwD, OBC-NCL-PwD, SC-PwD, or ST-PwD categories must pay a fee of Rs. 15,000 each.
What is Freeze, float, and slide options for the JoSAA Seat Allocation 2023 ?
- The candidate who has been given a seat has the option to “freeze,” “float,” or “slide.”
- The “freeze” option indicates that the candidate is content with the proposed academic course and institute and has accepted the seat.
- “Float” refers to a candidate’s desire to change his or her preferred institution and/or academic programme.
- However, if a student selects the “slide” option, he can enrol in a better course at the designated institute. For the purpose of verifying the admission, the candidate must appear at the designated institute.
- If a candidate doesn’t select an option, the seat will be rejected and they won’t be taken into consideration for further counselling.
Exit option from JoSAA Seat Allocation 2023
If they so want, students who haven’t been given a place can leave the JoSAA 2023 counselling process.
A candidate may elect to withdraw if they have been offered a place but choose not to participate in the admissions counselling.
However, if the student has already paid the money, it will be returned once processing fees have been deducted.
