J-K NMMS: 2.0 Registration Commences on NSP Portal for 2019 to 2022 Students; Check Details Here

The Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education (JKBOSE) is accepting online applications from eligible applicants from 2019 to 2022 for the academic year 2023–2024 for the National Means-cum-Merit Scholarship (NMMS). Candidates who meet the requirements may submit an application for the J-K NMMS at scholarships.gov.in. The deadline for applications is November 30.

An Official notice  reads, “Besides, it is also notified for information of all the concerned candidates of NMMS exam year 2021, 2020 and 2019 who are studying in Class 10, 11, and 12 respectively during the session 2023-24 and are receipt of National Means cum Merit Scholarship Scheme can also submit online applications for the respective renewal installments on national scholarship portal by or before 30th of November 2023.”

The award is available to government school students in class 9 who passed the NMMS test and whose parents’ combined yearly income does not exceed Rs 3,50,00. Students from Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas and Kendriya Vidyalayas are ineligible. Selected students would receive Rs 12,000 each year under the programme.

Different Scholarships on the National Scholarship Portal 2024

Students in grades 1 through doctoral level are eligible for a variety of scholarships. The National Scholarship Portal Registration Site, scholarships.gov.in, is where students may submit their applications. The NSP 2023–24 is divided into three components, namely:

  • Central Plans
  • UGC Programmes
  • State Plans

Candidates’ applications will be checked by the relevant government school by December 15; level-2 verification will be done by the district’s chief education officer by December 30.

Post Matric Scholarships Scheme for MinoritiesLast Date to Apply on National Scholarship Portal 2023- November 30, 2023 (Tentative) Scholarship Amount- Admission & Tuition Fee- Rs 7,000/- per annum   For Technical courses- Rs 10,000/- per annum   Eligibility Students from grades 11 through higher education who received at least 50% on their last exam.   Minimum family income should be Rs. 2 lakh.   Minority groups including Muslims, Sikhs, Christians, Buddhists, Jains, and Zoroastrians/Parsis should be represented among students.    
Merit Cum Means Scholarship for Professional and Technical Courses CS NSP 2023 Registration Last day is projected to be November 30, 2023. The scholarship is worth Rs 20,000 annually. Eligibility Students must have passed a competitive test in order to be admitted to technical or professional courses in a college.   He or she must have obtained at least a 50% on the prior exam.   A family’s annual income should not exceed Rs. 250,000,000.   Muslims, Sikhs, Christians, Buddhists, Jains, and Zoroastrians (Parsis) are among the communities that students should be a part of.

Day Scholars get a $500 scholarship.   Hostellers: 800 rupees   Eligibility For graduate and postgraduate students with a disability of more than 40%   Family income must be no more than 250,000,000.
