Institute of Legal Studies, Ranchi University, Ranchi: students celebrate world nature conservation day;


A step towards the betterment of the future of the nature and human sustainability.
The students of Institute of legal studies, Ranchi University, Ranchi have planted more than 150 trees around the campus of the institute. Every year world nature conservation day is celebrated for acknowledging the fact that a healthy environment is the foundation for a stable and healthy society. Institute of legal studies (ILS), Ranchi along with its students have taken the initiative of planting trees in and around the campus to maintain the greenery and balance the ecology. While talking to the students we asked them the importance of celebrating this occasion in the college and other educational institutions, a student said, “it inculcates the sense of nature love within the new generation, it will make students understand the meaning of balance in ecology.”
The nature club of Institute of Legal Studies (ILS), Ranchi University, Ranchi has organized a plantation drive on 28th July, 2023 at the college campus from 11am. Interested people were requested to bring plants or saplings along with them. Following which more than 50 people joined the drive other than students and around 80 students participated in the same. Ravi Pratap, Kumar Raushan, Rashmi Topno, Shivani Singh, Garima Pandey, Sumit Kaushik , Barnabas Soren, Rishika Toppo, Supriya Kumari, Khusbhu Tirkey, Shreya Singh, Aditya Raj, Amit Raj, and Lalit Kumar Mahto were the few volunteers involved in the Plantation Drive.
The primary objective of this thoughtful initiative was to promote environmental consciousness and contribute to the preservation and enhancement of the campus ecosystem. By organizing the plantation drive, the Nature Club aimed to create awareness among the student community and beyond about the importance of tree planting and its positive impact on the environment.
The response from the community was overwhelming, surpassing all expectations. Over 50 people, not directly affiliated with the college or its student body, enthusiastically joined the drive. This demonstrated the broad appeal of the cause and the eagerness of individuals to take in initiatives that foster environmental sustainability.
Among those who participated, there were around 80 students from the Institute of Legal Studies. It was heartening to see such a large number of young minds eager to take an active role in preserving the environment and working towards a greener future.
The Nature Club of ILS, Ranchi University, Ranchi, continues to inspire and engage individuals to take active roles in nurturing the natural world and advocating for sustainable practices. By instilling a sense of environmental stewardship, the club aims to create a lasting legacy of responsible and caring citizens who value and protect the earth’s precious resources.
