IIT Patna Confers Degree To 521 Students During Its 9th Convocation

A total of 422 male and 99 female students were awarded degrees among various programmes, including BTech, MSc, MTech, and PhD.

Today, December 7, 2022, the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Patna held its 9th convocation. A total of 521 students received diplomas. There were 422 male students and 99 female students among the 521 students. Today, 242 BTech, 64 MSc, 113 MTech, and 102 PhD students received their diplomas.

The event was attended by the chief guest, Jalaj A Dani, chairman of Addverb Technologies Limited; the guest of honour, Dr. G Satheesh Reddy, Scientific Advisor to the Defence Minister; Dr Anand Deshpande, chairman of the Board of Governors of IIT Patna; and board members and Senate members from IIT Patna.

At the start of the event, Professor T N Singh, Director of IIT Patna, welcomed all the eminent dignitaries, graduating students and their parents, guests, members of the electronic and print media, institute faculty, and staff.

Civil and environmental engineering, computer science engineering, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, mathematics, physics, chemistry, chemical and biochemical engineering, humanities and social science, metallurgical and materials engineering, mathematics and computing, and Mechatronics are all examples of engineering disciplines. were among the degrees conferred. In addition to degrees, outstanding students received the President of India Gold Medal, Director’s Gold Medal, Chairman’s Gold Medal, Aryabhatta Gold Medal, Institute Silver Medals, Shri Kedar Nath Das Memorial Award, Professor Dibyendu Mukherjee Prize, and Institute Proficiency Prizes on the day of convocation.

Dr. Anand Deshpande greeted all of the dignitaries in attendance. He stated that this is a historic event and an important milestone in students’ academic careers. He sent his warmest wishes and blessings to the students as they begin their careers as future leaders in the fields of technology, research, entrepreneurship, and academia.

Jalaj A Dani congratulated graduating students and encouraged them to enjoy their career, try new things, reinvent themselves, and go beyond the confines that life gives. He urged kids to grow and change with time. He ended his address by congratulating the graduating kids and wishing them well.
