IIT Madras : JAM registration begins on September 5, 2023; exam schedule on Feb 11, 2024

On February 11, 2024, the Joint Admission Test (JAM) 2024 will be held at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Madras for admission to postgraduate studies at participating institutions.

Registration for JAM 2024 will start on September 5, 2023. The official website, jam.iitm.ac.in, will be where eligible applicants can submit their applications. The deadline for applications is October 13, 2023.

In more than 100 cities across the nation, JAM 2024 will be administered as a computer-based test in seven test papers, including Biotechnology (BT), Chemistry (CY), Economics (EN), Geology (GG), Mathematics (MA), Mathematical Statistics (MS), and Physics (PH).

JAM 2024: important dates

According to the JAM 2024 eligibility criteria, candidates who have completed an undergraduate degree or are currently studying in the final year of undergraduate programmes are eligible to apply for the exam. There is no age limit and foreign nationals with Indian degrees can also apply.

Students will be able to enrol in the MSc, MSc (Tech), MSc-MTech Dual Degree, MSc (Research), Joint MSc-PhD, and MSc-PhD Dual Degree programmes through JAM 2024. There will be about 2,000 seats available at the Indian Institute of Science (IISc), National Institutes of Technology (NITs), IIEST Shibpur, Sant Longowal Institute of Engineering and Technology (SLIET), and DIAT through CCMN, in addition to 3,000 seats in various postgraduate degrees at the IITs. Scores from JAM 2024 are only good for a year.
