IIT MAdras: Applications for BS in electronic systems are out now; here’s what to know

The beginning of applications for the September 2023 batch of the BS degree in electronic systems programme has been announced by the Indian Institute of Technology Madras (IIT Madras). Interested parties may submit applications by August 27, 2023.
Participants in the programme must have completed Class 12 or the equivalent in mathematics and physics. The BS degree programme is open to anyone looking to advance their skills in the field of electronic systems and has no age limitations.
Over 1,800 applications were submitted for the just-launched BS programme in electronic systems during the first round, which ended on June 25, 2023.
Nearly 1,200 of these are ordinary entry applicants, and they will go through a qualifier procedure that involves a qualifier exam.
On August 6, 2023, the qualifying exam is slated to take place. The remaining candidates are qualified for direct admission to the programme because they applied through the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE).
The BS programme supports the nation’s mission in semiconductors. The ability for students to acquire industry-ready skills will increase their employability.
IIT Madras physical labs are incorporated into the curriculum to provide students with hands-on learning and a deeper comprehension of electronic systems. Graduates of the BS in electronic systems programme will be awarded degrees by IIT Madras.
The institute also provides a variety of departure alternatives, enabling students to receive certifications and diplomas at various points in their educational careers.
The students will graduate from the degree with capabilities that are applicable to several industries, such as the automotive, semiconductor, and defence sectors.
They will be able to work as electronic system designers, embedded system developers, electronic hardware experts, system testing engineers, and electronics research engineers, among other positions.
