IIT Guwahati Extends the Last Date for Ph.D. Admissions, Hurry Up!

On October 30, IIT Guwahati announced the extension of dates for the Ph.D. admissions (December 2023). The last date to fill out the application form for admissions is November 2nd, 2023 until 05:00 pm.
Applications for Ph.D. programs are accepted through online admission portals. Candidates can only register once from the same login information.
Submission of applications is accepted through these three simple/main steps:
- Step 1: Add your personal information and fill in the required educational qualifications along with a scanned copy of the documents.
- Step 2: Select your specialized program carefully.
- Step 3: Online fee payment of application form.
While registering for the Ph.D. program, make sure to go through the information provided on the admission website. The fee details are as follows:
- Rs. 150 for Female Candidates.
- Rs. 150 for Transgender candidates.
- Rs. 150 for SC/ST/PwD candidates.
- Rs. 300 for all other candidates.

The Ph.D. program of IIT Guwahati grants scholars various travel and accommodation for attending seminars and conferences. A full-time candidate also receives financial assistance from the institute.
The eligibility criteria for the same is to secure up to 60% in a Master’s Degree as well as up to 70% marks in the four-year Bachelor’s degree. This also deflects according to the category as the marks get relaxed by 5% for SC/ST/PwD.
