IIM Lucknow hosts G20 University Connect: talks about global economic insights, challenges

The G20 University Connect Session was hosted on the campus of the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Lucknow on August 10. The ministry of external affairs (MEA), the Indian government, and the research and innovation system (RIS) for developing nations collaborated to hold the IIM Lucknow G20 University Connect Session.
In order to involve and include the youth in the issues surrounding the upcoming summit, IIM Lucknow held a number of collegiate events. Other events included a G20 quiz, article writing contest, model G20 summit, and a competition for students to create ceramics.
UNIVERSITY CONNECT’S GOAL
The goal of the University Connect was to promote thoughtful debates on the opportunities and challenges facing the world economy while encouraging a fruitful exchange of knowledge to mentor the youth of the country.
Several eminent speakers graced the occasion, illuminating the students with their perspectives on India’s presidency of the 18th G20 summit.
In her opening remarks, Professor Archana Shukla, Director of IIM Lucknow, thanked RIS and MEA for giving the institution the opportunity to host the University Connect. Professor Shukla stressed the value of international cooperation during her speech in order to address the issues of sustainability, energy, climate change, security, and peace.
As she encouraged the students to pursue the path of cultivating a global perspective, she also emphasised her delight in the resonance of the IIML slogan with our country’s national ideal of producing socially responsible leaders.
The institute and its students were honoured to have gotten such priceless lessons from the guests on this momentous occasion and feel fortunate to have had the chance to work with G20 University Connect to educate the leaders of future.
