On Monday, The Indian Institute of Mass Communication (IIMC) announced the application process for a few open seats in various programmes across its six campuses. The application deadline for the academic year 2023-24 is October 12, 2023.

Before completing the application form, candidates participating in this admission round at IIMC are urged to properly read the complete announcement on the IIMC website and check their eligibility.

The Indian Institute of Mass Communication (IIMC) is one of the country’s most prominent journalism schools, providing postgraduate diploma programmes in English and Hindi journalism, television journalism, public relations, and advertising.

Step to Apply: IIMC

  • Candidates must complete an online admission form accessible at www.iimc.gov.in and pay the entrance examination fee using the website’s online portal.
  • Candidates may apply for individual courses. Separate forms must be completed for each Course.
  • Candidates that submit their applications successfully will be assigned a Unique Registration Number (URN).
  • This URN will be needed to download the admit card.
  • Candidates must take a 75-point written exam.
  • NRI students are exempt from taking the written entrance exam.
  • Selected candidates must pass a Group Discussion worth 10 points and an Interview worth 15 points.
  • Candidates are provisionally accepted to each course based on the merit list established by adding the 100 points from the three examinations.
  • The centre is assigned based on merit-cum-preference.
  • Successful candidates have 7 days to submit their fees.
