GATE 2024: Here’s to Know About Data Science, AI New Paper Syllabus, & Topics to be Covered; Registration Begins From August 24

The Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE 2024) registration period will begin on August 24 at the Indian Institute of Science Bangalore (IISc Bengaluru). There will be 30 disciplines in the GATE 2024 test, which will include full exams and sectional papers. This year saw the introduction of the paper on data science and artificial intelligence.
A new two-paper combination in computer science and information technology, data science, and artificial intelligence has been launched by IISc Bangalore. According to the requirements, candidates will be permitted to participate in a maximum of two papers; however, for the second paper, they will only be able to select from a set of two papers that have been made public by the institute.

Machine Learning | (ii) Unsupervised Learning: single-linkage, multiple-linkage, dimensionality reduction, principal component analysis, hierarchical clustering, top-down, bottom-up, and k-means/k-medoid clustering techniques. |
Artificial Intelligence | Search: informed, uninformed, adversarial; propositional logic, predicate; reasoning under uncertainty issues – conditional independence representation, exact inference through variable elimination, and approximate inference through sampling. |
According to the previously released GATE 2023 schedule, the application deadline is September 29. October 13 is the cutoff date for submitting the form during the extended timeframe. The exam will be held on February 3, 4, 10, and 11 of 2024 in order to recruit candidates for some public sector jobs as well as admittance to the master’s programs.
GATE 2024 application costs:
GATE 2024 application costs are Rs 900 for female students and SC, ST, and PwD applicants in the regular phase, and Rs 1400 in the extended phase. All other applicants, including international nationals, must pay Rs 1800 during the regular term and Rs 2300 during the extended period.
Question Pattern:
Furthermore, the question pattern will include a mix of multiple-choice (MCQ) and other question formats, such as multiple-selection and numerical answer type (NAT). This set of questions is designed to assess candidates’ knowledge and problem-solving abilities.
