Uttarakhand’s medical education will also be offered in Hindi
The committee would review the Hindi MBBS syllabus used in Madhya Pradesh government colleges before preparing a draught of a new syllabus for the colleges in Uttarakhand, the minister said.
Dehradun: State Minister for Medical Education Dhan Singh Rawat announced on Friday that medical courses in Uttarakhand will begin to be taught in both English and Hindi beginning with the upcoming academic year.
After Madhya Pradesh, Uttarakhand will be the second state in the nation to do so.
According to the minister, the State Medical Education Department has established a four-person expert group with Dr. CMS Rawat, the principal of the Government Medical College in Srinagar in the Pauri district, serving as its chairperson.
The committee would review the Hindi MBBS syllabus used in Madhya Pradesh government colleges before preparing a draught of a new syllabus for the colleges in Uttarakhand, the minister said.
The MBBS programme in Hindi will begin in government medical institutes with the upcoming session after receiving the draught and finishing all other processes, the minister said.
He claimed that this choice was made in light of the Centre’s unique emphasis on Hindi.
As part of the ambitious Madhya Pradesh government’s effort to provide medical education in the Hindi language, Union Home Minister Amit Shah distributed textbooks for three subjects for MBBS students in Hindi on October 16.
