Delhi University to Establish Cluster Colleges

Delhi University to Establish Cluster Colleges
The university stated that each cluster college will function as a knowledge network and that DU colleges will be grouped into five separate cluster colleges based on their geographic locations.
Cluster colleges will be established by the University of Delhi (DU) to function as knowledge networks. Through the Undergraduate Curriculum Framework 2022 (UGCF), the university is putting the National Education Policy 2020 (NEP) into practice. In order to give the students the freedom to select the courses that best suit their interests and future plans, the university will create cluster colleges.
In order to give students additional options and get around resource constraints and limitations at the conclusion of each college, the university’s colleges in the cluster will, to the extent practicable, share their resources with other colleges nearby.
In announcing the creation of clusters, DU stated that the university’s colleges will be divided into five groups based on their geographic locations and that each group of schools will function as a Knowledge Network.
According to DU, the college that was highlighted within a cluster has been designated as the nodal or hub college. It will serve as the nodal point for coordination with the university and the colleges within the said cluster for the successful implementation of NEP.
In order to provide efficient networking for resource sharing, the hub or nodal institution will collaborate with the other colleges in the cluster. Each college will have a single nodal faculty member who will communicate with the hub or node college in a cluster or knowledge network. Three working groups—the Skill Enhancement Courses Working Group, Value Addition Courses Working Group, and Ability Enhancement Courses Working Group—will be formed by the coordinators of the nodal college and co-hub college in collaboration with the nodal faculties in the cluster or knowledge network.
