On 30th October, CIET-NCERT organized an online training in social media and Cyber Security. This is in collaboration with the National Institute of Electronics and Information Technology.
Cybersecurity and social media are two of the most important sections while working in this digital era. The importance of these two was highlighted in NEP 2020 too. It prioritizes awareness regarding social media as well as nurtures our technology-driven society.
This session is scheduled for a five-day session between 30th October to 3rd November 2023.
The scheduled timing and topics of discussion for the session are listed below:
- Day 1: On 30th October, Social Networking, and Social Engineering.
- Day 2: On 31st October, Social Network Thread in the Digital Era.
- Day 3: On 1st November, Open-Source Intelligence (OSINT).
- Day 4: On 2nd November, Social Network Society.
- Day 5: On 3rd November, Social Media Management in Digital Era.
These sessions would be available for everyone, followed by a live telecast on NCERT’s official YouTube channel. Jio TV app and PMeVidya DTH TV channels will also be available for same from 4 pm to 5 pm sharp.
CIET NCERT Training Sessions
With the start of the digital era, most students are engaged only in online activities. This has made it more important for them to understand the potential risks and threats to their personal information.
This session would give the users the necessary tools and information to protect themselves. This is not only for the students of NIELIT but will also help everyone across the country to stay away from malpractice and suspicious sites.

To participate in the scheduled sessions, you can register yourself on the site by clicking on the online Teacher Workshop link. Then you can watch the live sessions on the official YouTube channel of NCERT.
Even if you miss the live session, no need to worry this will be available on the official event page on 30th October 2023.
In addition to this, while participating in the post-session quiz, users securing over 70% will be awarded a certificate of participation. The link for the quiz will be made available on 3rd November as well. You can download the same within the page itself.
