Choice-filling for Tamil Nadu’s NEET undergraduate counselling 2023 will commence tomorrow

The schedule for the state National Eligibility Entrance Test (NEET) UG counselling 2023 for admission to MBBS and BDS programmes has been released by the Directorate of Medical Education and Research in Tamil Nadu.
From tomorrow, July 25, onward, the choice-filling and locking process will start. On the official website, tnmedicalselection.net, candidates can make their selections. July 31 is the deadline for registration, payment, and choice-filling.
On August 3, the outcome of the seat distribution will be announced. Between August 4 and August 8, candidates can download the tentative allotment order, and August 8 is the final joining date.
For the government quota, candidates must pay Rs. 500, and for the management quota, they must pay Rs. For government quota seats in self-financed institutions and state-run private universities, students must also submit a security deposit of Rs 30,000, and Rs 1 lakh for management quota seats.
“For example, if a candidate has applied for both Government and Management quota, he will have choices for both Government as well as Management quota,” DMER noted when describing the choice-filling process. The candidates are urged to consider all the options and rank their selections in order of preference.
DMER encouraged applicants to double-check their selections and the order of their preferences before locking them because they cannot be changed once locked.
Additionally, if a candidate doesn’t lock their choices manually prior to the deadline, they will be locked automatically. The directorate also disclosed that during round 2, applicants will not be permitted to enrol in a category they did not select for round 1.
Candidates who have been given seats must download the allotment order and report to the colleges with the necessary documentation; only the colleges will conduct document verification.
They must also present a self-declaration form stating that any errors discovered during the admissions process would result in the cancellation of their admission.
