The registration date for the Common Admission Test (CAT) 2023 has been extended by the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Lucknow as of today, September 13. Candidates may now register for the CAT 2023 exam till September 20 at 5:00 p.m.

The CAT 2023 registration process can be finished by interested applicants by visiting the official CAT 2023 website, iimcat.ac.in. The institute has made it clear that there will be no more extensions to this deadline and has urged students to register as soon as possible to prevent last-minute obstacles.

IIM CAT 2023: Eligibility Requirements

• For applicants in the general category, they must obtain an overall score of 50%.
• Candidates in the SC, ST, and PWD categories must receive 45% of the possible points.
• Students who are in their final year of school may also be able to submit an application for the CAT 2023 entrance exam.

To register for the IIM CAT 2023 exam, candidates must enter a working email address and mobile number. They must submit their personal information, academic information, employment history, programmes, and test city. Candidates must choose their top six exam cities when completing the CAT application form 2023, according to IIM Lucknow.

What is the CAT Exam?

For admission to the MBA programmes offered by its 20 campuses and more than 1,200 B-schools in India, the IIM administers the Common Admission Test (CAT), a national-level management aptitude test. Every year, more than two lakh people enrol to take the CAT exam. Approximately 2.55 lakh students enrolled for the CAT 2022 exam, while approximately 2.22 lakh candidates showed up.

Three sessions of the CAT exam are held on a single day at roughly 400 testing locations throughout 155 cities in India. Those who want to study business administration in the academic year 2024 must take the CAT test because it is recognised by the majority of public and private MBA schools in India.

The Verbal Ability & Reading Comprehension (VARC), Data Interpretation & Logical Reasoning (DILR), and Quantitative Ability (QA) topics are covered in the CAT exam, a business aptitude test.

 The exam’s level of difficulty ranges from moderate to high. The CAT score is accepted for admission to Executive MBA, PhD, and FPM programmes at IIMs and other B-Schools in addition to MBA programmes.
