BHU YuvaSangam- Rousing welcome at Sarnath: Click here to know the delegation.

According to the BHU:
The Telangana delegation received a rousing welcome at the Central Institute of Higher Tibetan Studies, Sarnath. Also the Vice-Chancellor, CIHTS interacted and shared the thoughts with the delegation. During their visit to the Library, delegates got insights on Tibetan literature & texts.
What is YuvaSangam 2023?
The YuvaSangam 2023 is a government initiative in the concern of strengthening connections between young people from different states and union territories in India. The program is meant to organize exposure tours for youth, including on-campus and off-campus students.
In this tour, the youth will cover the main five knowledge that are
- Tourism
- Traditions
- Development
- People-to-people connect
- Technology
Below are the details that which groups of people can register for the program:
- Students
- NSS/NYKS volunteers
- Employed/self-employed people
- Youth in the age group of 18-30 years
Why do they visit the holy Buddhist site of Sarnath?
Gautama Buddha first taught the Dhamma in the deer park in Sarnath where the Buddhist Sangha came into existence through the enlightenment of Kondanna. Sarnath is located in Varanasi-10 kilometers northeast near the confluence of the Ganges and the Varuna rivers in Uttar Pradesh, India. Also, it is one of the four most important pilgrimage sites in the world for Buddhists.
