AIS Design: Registration Begins for Olympiad 2023-24, Last Date to Apply Oct 15

Asahi India Glass Ltd. (AIS) has announced the fifth edition of the “AIS Design Olympiad” for the years 2023–2024. All architecture students may now register for the AIS Design Olympiad 2023–24 through October 15, 2023. At www.aisglass.com/ado/register, interested candidates can register.

The AIS Design Olympiad Finals Will Take Place in February 2024 at a Gala Event.

The competition’s topic encourages contestants to investigate and test out novel building materials, methods, and technological advancements that can push the limits of conventional architecture and design.

Participants are urged to consider how their designs may address new problems including climate change, rising urbanisation, and resource depletion as well as how they can develop solutions that are efficient, sustainable, and flexible enough to meet changing demands.

Vikram Khanna, COO, Architectural Institutional Business – Asahi India Glass Ltd., commented on the AIS Design Olympiad 2023–24 by saying, “We want you to go outside the box and push the boundaries of conventional architectural design. The National Jury Member and Curator for the AIS Design Olympiad 2023–24, Architect Karl Wadia, remarked, “The presentations of futuristic concepts in this competition should not only be visually beautiful, but they should also address important global concerns. In order to create environments that improve human experiences and promote a feeling of community, the designs must smoothly combine futuristic aspects with useful utility.

The goal of the AIS Design Olympiad 2023–24 is to combine cutting-edge design concepts with the best product choices to create energy-efficient building design concepts that are practical and comfortable in the Indian setting.

Every design submitted by the students will be judged by the astute eyes of a panel of some of India’s finest architects, who are on the regional and national jury panels of the AIS Design Olympiad (ADO).

The fifth annual “AIS Design Olympiad” has been announced by Asahi India Glass Ltd. (AIS). The AIS Design Olympiad is an initiative by Asahi India Glass Ltd. It aims to bridge the divide between education and practical experience by bringing together academia and industry.

The current AIS Design Olympiad promises plenty of thrills in terms of original design, disruptive thinking, and cutting-edge concepts after the resounding success of 2022–2023 season. Every design submitted by the students will be judged by a panel of some of India’s finest architects who serve on the regional and national judging panels of the AIS Design Olympiad (ADO), which will follow a strict process.
