AICTE has Shown its Consent for Allotting 21,900 Seats in 300 AICTE Approved Institutes for working professionals. Check the details below

There is a big news for working professionals. Now the working professionals can pursue a degree with their jobs. The All India Council for Technical Education has shown its nod to allot 21,900 seats to working professionals. These seats will be allotted to the working professionals in 300 AICTE approved institutes.

It is a significant step taken to bridge the gap of skills sets with relevance to current market demands. The council has shown its approval to offer technical degrees to the working people. The degrees are B. Tech, B.E, M. Tech, and diploma programs.

Relevance of the Decision

The decision is taken to help working masses to continue their studies. It is aimed to provide a financial support to the students. Many students drop their studies because of financial concerns. They cannot afford the fee of technical degrees. By this decision they will be capable of continuing their jobs and their studies. It will help them financially and their studies will not get hampered. The decision opens an ocean of opportunities to the working professionals.

Allocation of Seats

A recent data confirms that the AICTE has confirmed 9,180 undergraduate seats in around 143 institutes. The council has allotted 1920 postgraduate seats in 54 institutes. It has allotted 10,800 seats for diploma studies in 169 institutes. These allocations will be accepted across the country.

The AICTE has approved 325 UG programs, 345 diploma programs, and around 128 PG programs. These programs comprises of computer science, mechanical, electrical, electronics, data analytics, artificial intelligence, and manufacturing.

According to AICTE guidelines, working professionals from recognized companies will be eligible for these courses and programs. The candidate needs to submit an undertaking from their current company.

It is made clear that the colleges can decide the own way of conducting classes. They can choose either offline or online mode for classes. The colleges will provide a detailed time table to the students.

The AICTE has given its consent for maximum three programs in one institute. The intake will be 30 seats each.
