Admission Open for Certificate Course in Patents: University of Delhi

The University of Delhi has announced the last date for admission to the Certificate Course in Patents. The application process started on September 28, 2023, and the last date to register for the course is November 10, 2023. The second batch starts on December 2, 2023, in hybrid, mode and will end in March 2024. 

The eligibility criteria for the same is Graduation in any discipline or 12th pass-outs. The assessment method is through written test assignments on completion of each module instructor. The course director and course coordinator are Prof. Daman Saluja (chairperson, DU) and Dr. Ashwini Siwal (Faculty of Law, DU), respectively.

The key points of this course are listed below:

• The course is in hybrid mode, 48 hours online and 12 hours offline. 
• The student entry is 300 per batch and there will be multiple batches per year. 
• The fee is Rs. 5000/- per student.
• The time period of the course is of 3 months.
• The classes will be for 2 hours each on both Saturday and Sunday. 

Details on Patents Course

The announcement of the Patents course was made on 18th September 2023 whereas processing and finalization is scheduled till 21st November 2023. Students from the first list can submit their fees from the 21st to the 23rd of November, 2023. The completion of the course would be by the end of March 2024. The Patents course aims to inform students about the need for the creation, protection, commercialization, and valuation of intellectual property, specifically patents.

Four Week Skill Enhancement Program by Delhi University

The skill enhancement training program starts on November 13 to December 8, 2023. The program is available for Assistant Registrars, Administrative Officers, and Senior Officials. The registration is based on a first come first serve basis and the training timing lies between 02:00 pm to 05:00 pm.
