Girl Child UPES Scholarship

UPES Scholarship for Girls to Enroll in Postgraduate Programs at UPES in Academic Year 2021-22: 20%

In the year 2021, all girl students who apply for admission to UPES will be eligible for this UPES scholarship if they achieve a minimum of 60% in their undergraduate program. The UPES scholarship will only be renewed for subsequent years if the following criteria are met:

• UPES Scholarship requires the student to be enrolled at UPES Dehradun for an academic year starting in 2021-22 for a post-graduate program.
• There can be no interruption or deferment of the student’s Postgraduate Studies at UPES Dehradun at any time during his/her registration process.
• UPES Dehradun students must maintain an attendance record of at least 85% each semester
• To qualify for UPES Dehradun, the student must obtain a minimum of 8 CPGA. Students have not been debarred from appearing in the UPES Dehradun end semester examination as a result of disciplinary action, lack of attendance, or any other act that may be in violation of the UPES Dehradun code of conduct.
• UPES Dehradun students must pass all their courses the first time
• UPES Dehradun students must not have appeared in an improvement exam for any of the courses during the program’s duration
• If the UPES Scholarship is discontinued during the entire duration of the program, the UPES scholarship will be considered discontinued.

B.Tech UPES Scholarship

Merit-Based UPES Scholarship

• UPES Scholarships will be offered to students securing an average of 80% marks in classes X and XII and 80% marks in PCM for Tech (All Streams) in Computer Science and Engineering. A 10% UPES scholarship will be offered for each B.Tech program. UPES Scholarships will be awarded for the first semester in order of merit to eligible candidates.
• UPES Scholarships will be awarded based on merit
• Continuation of UPES Scholarship in the subsequent years will be as per the University policy
• UPES Scholarships are based on 50% of the first-semester tuition

Uttarakhand State Board Toppers can apply for the UPES Scholarship:

• UPES Scholarship: merit order allotment of 1 seat per applicant
• There will be 15 percent of seats reserved for Uttarakhand residents under this category. The UPES scholarship amount is 25% of a tuition fee waiver for boys and 35% for girls in the first year
• Should have “Sthai Niwas Praman Patra” (Permanent Residence Certificate)
• Applicants can only receive one scholarship per year (either through the Uttarakhand Board Toppers category or through the Uttarakhand Resident category).
• UPES Scholarships for subsequent years will be awarded according to UPES Dehradun University’s merit UPES scholarship policy
• The UPES scholarship amount is 25% of a tuition fee waiver for Boys and 35% for Girl students in the first year

Merit-Based UPES scholarship:

A student admitted to an M Tech program in the academic session 2020-21 with a valid GATE score of 70 percentile or higher will be considered for a scholarship at Rs. 12,400/- per month during the period they are registered with UPES Scholarship.

The students must meet certain requirements in order to qualify for the continuation UPES scholarship in subsequent semesters

• A minimum CGPA / SGPA of 8.0 in each semester
• Maintain regular attendance, discipline, exemplary behavior, and pass every semester examination in the first attempt compliance with all other norms as prescribed by the University from time to time
