IIT Fees 2022- IIT Fees is one of the most frequently discussed subjects among students applying to IITs for various disciplines such as B.Tech, M.Tech, and Dual Degrees. Fees for each semester at IIT in 2022

In several IITs, the number of seats for the UG programme is around 12,000. Every year, however, approximately 2.5 million people take the JEE advanced exam in order to gain admission to IITs. According to official information given by the HRD Ministry, the previous year’s fee structure will apply to the 2022 entrance session as well. There would be no increase in course fees at IITs. IIT fees are approximately 2.5 lakhs per year.

What Is The Best Way To Pay For IIT College Fees?

The mechanism for paying IIT fees is outlined below for your convenience:

To pay the fee using any bank Debit Card, Credit Card, or Net Banking, go to the institute’s official website and click the link ‘Academic Fee Payment Portal.’

Verify the name displayed on the screen after entering the roll number and date of birth.

Please refer to the PDF fee table titled ‘Fee structure’ and input the appropriate amount for Tuition fees and Other costs for the category to which you belong.

The successful payment will be confirmed by a notification on the screen. If you are on campus, you can also check your IIT account’s payment history to validate the payment.

Please wait 3 to 5 working days for the money to be credited back to your account if the transaction fails and money is deducted from your account. If the funds are not instantly credited, contact the institute’s accounts department with your Roll Number, Name, and Transaction ID.

Fees at IIT – Scholarships and Financial Aid

The latest fee hike at the major Indian Institutes of Technology would undoubtedly put a strain on the budgets of newly admitted IITians’ parents. Scholarship for the National Talent Search – NTS

All States – National Scholarships

These state scholarships are given to students from the states in which they reside. IIT is in charge of forwarding the applications. Every year, these scholarships are awarded/renewed, and students must submit a status report at the start of the academic year.

Central Sector Scholarship for SC Students, Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Government of India

This prize is given to the top ten students based on their JEE rankings, with the stipulation that their parents’ annual income does not exceed Rs 2 lakhs. Along with the provision for fee reimbursement, it also contains the following provisions:

Rs.45,000/- as a one-time personal cash compensation

Rs. 2,200/- per month in living expenditures, and

3,000 rupees per annum for books and stationery

Government of India, Ministry of Tribal Affairs – Central Sector Scholarship for ST Students

It is given to the top five students in each JEE group, with the stipulation that their parents’ annual income does not exceed Rs 2 lakhs. It includes provisions for reimbursement of fees, as well as monthly living expenses of Rs 2,200/- per month and books and stationery of Rs 3,000/- per year.

Merit-cum-Means Scholarship, Ministry of Minority Affairs, Government of India

It is given to students from minority communities including as Muslims, Christians, Sikhs, Buddhists, and Parsis who have a parent’s annual income of less than Rs 2.5 lakhs. The State Government will approve the scholarship amount, with 30% of the scholarships earmarked for female students. It contains provisions such as:

Maintenance costs are Rs.10,000 for hostellers and Rs.5,000 for day-scholars every year.

The course fee will be reimbursed up to a maximum of Rs. 20,000/- or the actual fees, whichever is less.

Scholarship for a Single Girl Child from the Ministry of Human Resources and Development (MHRD)

The criterion for this is determined by Government of India standards, and a yearly payment of Rs. 40,000/- is given.

The Aditya Birla Scholarship is an award given by the Aditya Birla Group

The Aditya Birla Group selects the top 20 students in the JEE Rank for this opportunity. The Aditya Birla Group has provided a sum of Rs. 60, 000/- per annum, which is renewable every year subject to the Aditya Birla Group’s guidelines.

Scholarships to Inspire (Department of Science and Technology, Government of India)

Students admitted to the Dual Degree (B.S. & M.S.) and 5 year Dual Degree (B.Tech & M.Tech) Programs are entitled to apply for a scholarship worth Rs.60, 000 per year.

Q1. Is it possible to attend IIT for free?

Ans: Yes, you must pay tuition to attend IITs. JEE advance is a test for admission to IITs, and aspirants who pass JEE mains are eligible to take it in advance. The costs at individual IITs vary, but for a whole B. tech study, you should expect to pay roughly ten lakhs.
