The Japanese automobile manufacturing company Subaru shared a glimpse of the new STI Subaru WRX S210 recently. The company shared a glimpse at Tokyo Auto Salon 2025 and said the model will be highly limited. 

The WRX S210 prototype is a race car that can run fine on the toughest tracks and offer an impressive experience to the users. It’s not clear whether the company will release it on a global level or not, but it has surely got the car enthusiasts’ attention.

The new Subaru WRX STI S210 will be a limited-edition sports sedan with a sharper and sporty look. According to reports, the company will only release 500 limited editions of the new STI in the Japanese market. 

The company has not revealed anything about whether the new STO model will make it to the global market as it once was, the last WRX STI was sold in 2021. Despite the uncertainty about its global launch, the demand for the WRX STI is high due to its high performance. The recent decline in its demand was due to emissions regulation, but we can expect more models in the future that can go with today’s demand. 

The Subaru WRX STI S210 is still in the production stage, but car enthusiasts can expect its release in the Japanese market later this year. The company will share further details soon, however, the current reports highly favor that it may not be released globally.

The Japanese automaker is back with a new STI prototype WRX S210 increasing the excitement among car enthusiasts. The company has shared a glimpse of the model in Tokyo Auto Salon 2025 which is still going on till 12 Jan 2025, the car enthusiast wondering about the designs and features can check the details below:

• The new STI model front seats are featured with carbon-fiber backed Recaro that is durable, lightweight, strong, and safe. The carbon fiber can absorb the carbon energy which will increase the safety of the vehicle while maintaining comfort.   
• The interior of the new STI model is the same as the WRX, however, the armrest and others are wrapped with microsuede. The interior of the STI model gives a sporty look with a unique design that enhances the experience of the drivers and passengers. 
• The S210 is a wider and more spacious car than the S209, with a carbon-fiber rear wing. The model features seat belts with pre-tensioners and force limiters that add up to the safety of the model. 
• The front grille, roof antenna, mirror caps,  and other parts are gloss black, with STIs characteristic cherry red highlights.
• The S210 model features electric boosters, Brembo 6-piston front calipers, drilled front & rear rotors, and special brake pads that enhance the safety features of the model.

The company has revealed the detailed specifications of the Subaru WRX STI S210, though the car enthusiast can check the further small details regarding the model:

• Engine: The new model will feature the 2.4-liter turbo four-cylinder engine that will have higher power than the standard 202kW power, it may develop the engine power to 221kW. The engine has 20kW power down from the previous STI series, despite being the larger engine. According to the reports, the engine will make 277 pound-feet of torque and 296 horsepower. 
• CVT Transmission: The WRX’s new STI model will not be manual, it will feature the CVT transmission that will boost the power. The engine is based on the WRX S4’s FA24 and includes modifications like a redesigned air cleaner, pre-turbo ducts, and intake ducts to enhance airflow. The exhaust system consists of a low-resistance silencer with a big tailpipe and a distinctive cannonball-shaped chamber that minimizes resistance.
• Suspension: The STI model features high-grip Michelin 255/ 35R19 tires and highly flexible wheels that have a unique design. 

Subaru WRX STI S210 Expected Price

The company has not revealed the WRX STI S210 prices, however, according to the previous STI model price the car enthusiast can expect a higher price than the previous ones. The previous STI model in the US cost around $64, 880, so, if it is launched in the US ever it may go higher than $70,000. 

The Subaru WRX STI S210 will come with enhanced performance compared to the previous STI model which will come with a unique design and bold look. The STI S210 will be launched in Japanese markets this year, and car enthusiasts can expect the announcement in May 2025.
