The Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET 2023) will be administered by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) in December. According to historical patterns, the CTET application for the December session is often posted on the official website, ctet.nic.in, in October.

The window for the CBSE CTET application form 2023 was open for a month for the most recent session, which took place in July/August. On September 25, the CTET results for the session in July 2023 were released. 2,98,758 applicants qualified for the CTET exam 1, and 1,01,057 qualified for the paper 2. The candidates’ transcripts and certificates of qualification were also submitted to Digilocker.

The CTET is a requirement to be appointed as a teacher in classes one through eight. Candidates who want to teach classes 1 through 5 must take paper 1, and those who want to teach classes 6 through 8 must pass paper 2. The CTET December test was conducted last year starting on December 28 in 74 cities and 243 locations. In the session, more than 2.5 lakh applicants participated.

CTET Test Question 2023

The CBSE CTET test lasts for two and a half hours for both the primary and elementary levels. In computer-based test (CBT) format, shifts 1 and 2 are held from 9:30 AM to 12:00 PM and from 2:30 PM to 5:00 PM, respectively. There will be 150 multiple-choice questions (MCQs) in the CTET exam, each worth one mark. The eligibility certificate will be given to those who pass the exam. For all categories, the CTET qualifying certificate for appointment will be valid for life.

Important Information Regarding CTET Registration 2023

  • When completing the application, candidates should include their personal cellphone number and email address because the CTET test is only sent through mobile and email.
  • For future reference, candidates must save a copy of the confirmation page and a candidate copy of the e-challan (if the fee was paid via challan). 
  • Through offline (fax/application) or online (email) modes, no corrections to the application form are permitted. To make any modifications to the form, candidates must wait until the CTET application correction window opens.
  • Once paid, the application cost is non-refundable.
