Tomorrow, July 15, XLRI Jamshedpur will open registration for the Xavier Aptitude Test (XAT) 2024. Candidates who are interested and qualified can apply for XAT 2024 at xatonline.in. Candidates have until the final week of November 2023 to submit their XAT 2024 registration form.

The XAT entrance exam for 2024 is planned for January 8. For admission to the PGDM and MBA programmes at more than 160 B-schools nationwide, the exam will be held.

Before the exam, candidates who want to take the XAT 2024 exam must register online and download their XAT admit card 2024. The final week of January 2024 will see the announcement of the XAT 2024 results.

Candidates will be shortlisted for the XAT selection procedure based on their test results. Those who fulfil the cutoff requirements will be invited to take the written ability test (WAT), group discussion (GD), and personal interview rounds. Participating institutes will presumably perform the selection process in the months of February or March 2024.

 

Fee for XAT 2024 applications

  • Registration for XAT is Rs 2100.
  • Indian applicants for the PGDM (GM) through the GMAT or GRE must pay an additional cost of Rs 200 per if they are interested in the XLRI programmes. Rs 2500
  • Foreign applicants who use the GMAT to apply for one or more programmes: Rs. 5000

ALL ABOUT XAT (Xavier Aptitude Test) exam:

The XAT is considered as one of the most challenging management entrance exams, testing a candidate’s verbal, quantitative, data interpretation, decision-making, essay-writing, and general knowledge skills. It is a 205-minute computer-based test with 100 multiple-choice questions and 1 open-ended question. Students must properly prepare for the XAT and have an exam strategy in place if they want to perform well on the test.

Every year during the first week of January, a nationwide exam called the XAT (Xavier Aptitude Test) is administered. On behalf of the Xavier Association of Management Institutes (XAMI), XLRI holds it.The top business schools in the nation, including XLRI, IMT Ghaziabad, XIMB, SP Jain, KJ Somaiya, and TAPMI, provide MBA admissions in part based on XAT scores. Over 150 other prestigious academic institutions accept XAT Scores for their management curricula in addition to the 11 XAMI member institutions.

CANDIDATES ELIGIBILITY criteria for XAT 2024:

Candidates must meet the XAT eligibility requirements in order to take the exam. The XAT eligibility for 2024, as of last year, is as follows:

 

  •        Candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree in any discipline from an accredited institution that took them three years or more to finish.
  •        Candidates who advanced to the final are also qualified to take the XAT exam.
  •        There is no minimal pass rate for the XAT exam.
  •      Students from NRI institutions may apply using the GMAT.

Important parameters expected in XAT 2024:

The following is a list of the key criteria anticipated for XAT 2024:

  1. There will be 102 questions on the XAT 2024.
  2. After 175 minutes, Part 1 will be locked, and the candidate will continue on to Parts 2 and 3, respectively, of the XAT exam.
  3. The third part’s General Knowledge section does not carry any penalty points. For the XAT exam, the GK section is excluded from the percentile calculation.
  4. The candidate is only selected for future admission rounds if their essay writing score is taken into account.
  5. There are five possible answers for each MCQ, but only one is correct.
