The West Bengal NEET PG Counselling 2023 for Round-2 will end on August 26. Candidates who intend to participate in the counselling for admission to various programmes, such as PG Medical and Dental courses at Government and Private Medical Colleges/Institutes of West Bengal State, may submit the WB NEET PG Counselling registration form until 4:00 PM.

Candidates may upload their documents and have them validated by August 28, 2023, according to the organisation in charge of providing counselling. The timetable for candidate counselling has been made available by WBMCC, the organisation responsible for administering the WB NEET PG exam.

Application Fee for WB NEET PG Counselling

Candidates who are interested in participating in the counselling process must pay the WB NEET PG Counselling application fee of INR 3000. The candidate must use a payment gateway to pay the registration and application fees using a credit card, debit card, net banking, or UPI.

WB NEET PG Counselling Requirements

To be eligible to participate in the WB NEET PG Counselling procedure, interested candidates must meet the following requirements:

  • The applicant must have taken the NEET PG 2023 admission exam. 
  • Candidates who are not WBs are not eligible for reservations.
  • The SC/ST/OBC requirements only apply to candidates who are from West Bengal.
  • A candidate must have earned their MBBS from a school approved by the Medical Council of India (MCI)
  • Candidates must also have a current Registration Certificate issued by the Medical Council of India MCI) or any State Medical Council (SMC) in order to apply for admission.

Discover the list of necessary paperwork that applicants must have on hand in order to attend the WBMCC NEET PG Counselling:

  1. Copy of duly filled application form of West Bengal NEET PG 2023 counselling
  2. Two passport-sized photographs
  3. Valid photo ID proof (PAN card/driving license/voter ID/passport/Aadhar card/ration card)
  4. NEET PG 2023 admit card
  5. NEET PG 2023 scorecard
  6. Class X, XII marksheet

NEET PG 2023: Exam Reservation Criteria

Several groups of candidates taking the NEET PG exam have received reservations from the National Board of Examinations (NBE). The reservation requirements, which are applicable to both All India Quota (AIQ) and State Quota seats, are based on rules established by the Government of India.

NEET PG 2023: Counselling Types

NEET PG (National Eligibility and Entrance Test for Postgraduate) counselling is conducted by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) for admission to postgraduate medical programmes in India. The two components of NEET PG counselling are described below.

Counselling AIQ

For 50% of the seats available in government medical colleges across India, AIQ counselling is held. MCC conducts the counselling and allots the seats based on the candidate’s NEET PG rank and preferences.

Government Quota Counselling

For the remaining 50% of seats in government medical colleges, including those that weren’t filled during AIQ counselling, the respective state administrations conduct this counselling. According to the candidate’s preferences and NEET PG rank, seats are allocated.
