“UPSC Combined Geo-Scientist Exam 2024 Notification Released; Registration Commences at upsc.gov.in”

The announcement for the 2024 Combined Geo-Scientist Exam has been made public by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC). The commission has begun the preliminary exam registration procedure on the upsc.gov.in website. By October 10, qualified applicants may submit an application for the test.

The combined geoscientist main exam for the UPSC will take place on June 22, 2024. Between October 11 and October 17, candidates may change the application they have submitted. A registration fee of Rs 200 must be paid by candidates. Female applicants as well as SC, ST, and Persons with Benchmark Disability applicants are not required to pay any fees.

The Test will be Divided into Three Parts

Stage I: A combined geoscientist (preliminary) exam (objective type) with two exams to select candidates for the final exam. The marks obtained in the preliminary test will be used to determine the final merit.

Stage II: A combined geoscientist (main) exam (descriptive type) with three papers to identify applicants for the personality test (stage III). The marks obtained in the main examination will be used to determine the final merit.

Posts at the Geological Survey of India, Ministry of Mines (Category 1)

Posts at the Central Ground Water Board, Ministry of Jal Shakti, Department of Water Resources, River Development, and Ganga Rejuvenation are available under Category 2.
