The CDS 2 2023 test will be administered by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) on September 3, 2023. However, applicants can use the CDS Mathematics past years’ question paper as a study tool while they get ready for the upcoming exam. The exam’s question paper will be made available for download shortly thereafter

Candidates who pass the CDS written exam are invited to the SSB interview.

For admission to the Indian Military Academy (IMA), Indian Naval Academy (INA), Air Force Academy (AFA), and Officers’ Training Academy (OTA), candidates must pass the CDS exam twice a year. 

UPSC CDS: Exam Pattern 2023

A written exam plus an SSB interview make up the CDS exam format for 2023. Three sections make up the written test for the IMA, INA, and AFA: English, General Knowledge, and Elementary Mathematics. English and General Knowledge are the two portions of the test for OTA admission.

The duration of each section is two hours. The total test scores for the IMA, INA, and AFA are 300, while the scores for the OTA are 200. Each SSB interview for the IMA, INA, and AFA is worth 300 points, while the OTA interview is only worth 200 points.

There are two steps in the SSB Interview process: 1 and 2. Officer Intelligence Rating (OIR) tests, the Picture Perception and Description Test (PP&DT), interviews, group testing, officer tasks, and psychological tests make up Stage I of the SSB Interview.

UPSC CDS: Negative Marking 2023

The CDS exam’s marking scheme is provided here for your convenience in understanding how the exam is graded. The exam marking scheme can be understood by the candidates by going over the points. • 1/3 of the point is subtracted for an erroneous response.
• Candidates who select multiple options are considered in error
• No points will be deducted if a question is not answered.

CDS SSB Interview:  Exam Pattern 2023

For IMA, INA, and AFA, the SSB Interview carries 300 marks, whereas for OTA, it carries 200. There are two steps in the SSB Interview process: I and II. Only applicants who pass stage I are allowed to proceed to stage II. Below are the details of both phases:

• Officer Intelligence Rating (OIR) tests and the Picture Perception and Description Test (PP&DT) are included in Stage I.

• The second stage consists of conferences, group testing officer tasks, psychological tests, and interviews. Days are spent conducting these testing.
