University of Bath accepts applications for the MSc Sport, Exercise Medicine curriculum, Eligibility Criteria
The application period for the part-time distance learning MSc Sport and Exercise Medicine course at the University of Bath will open in early September. The department of health created the 3-5 year MSc Sport and Exercise Medicine programme.
The MSc curriculum at the University of Bath is intended for qualified doctors who want to expand their knowledge and clinical abilities in order to practise in sports and exercise medicine.
According to a statement from the University of Bath, the degree is appropriate for people who are already working in the field of sports and exercise medicine as well as those who want to enhance their expertise in this sector.
This programme gives practitioners the opportunity to learn about the principles of becoming a sports doctor, functional anatomy and sporting movement analysis, sports injuries, rehabilitation, and other topics. Students are taught by a team of professionals who have worked at major athletic events such as the Olympic Games, Commonwealth Games, and World University Games.
Candidates must have a Bachelor of Medicine or Bachelor of Surgery degree and be a qualified medical doctor with full unrestricted registration with their country’s General Medical Council equivalent (in India, this is their State Medical Council).
Eligibility Criteria: MSc Sport, Exercise Medicine
Before enrolling, applicants must have a minimum of one year of work experience as a qualified and registered doctor, as well as a copy of their medical licence and instructions on how this can be checked online (if relevant).
Candidates must submit a brief personal statement detailing their qualifications and experience, motivations for enrolling in the programme, and plans for using the degree.
The minimal requirements for English language proficiency are either a 6.5 overall IELTS score with a minimum of 6.0 in each component, a 62 overall on the Pearson Test of English Academic with a minimum of 59 in any part, or a TOEFL IBT score of 90 overall with a minimum of 21 in each of the four components.
