UGC proposes fitness tests for sports faculty members

The University Grants Commission has drafted new regulations for university recruitments and sought public feedback. The proposed guidelines mandate physical fitness tests for sports-related positions, including director and assistant director roles. These regulations have been officially announced. Notably, the sports director position at Gujarat University has remained unfilled for several years.
