UGC proposes fitness tests for sports faculty members

​The University Grants Commission has drafted new regulations for university recruitments and sought public feedback. The proposed guidelines mandate physical fitness tests for sports-related positions, including director and assistant director roles. These regulations have been officially announced. Notably, the sports director position at Gujarat University has remained unfilled for several years.
