Türkiye participates in the New Delhi World Book Fair in cooperation with the Istanbul Chamber of Commerce

New Delhi – Turkey participates in the New Delhi Book Fair, taking place in New Delhi, India, from 01-09 February 2025, with the Türkiye National Stand, prepared in cooperation with the Istanbul Chamber of Commerce.
The Ministry of Culture and Tourism sets up the Türkiye National Stand at the New Delhi Book Fair to increase the recognition of Turkey’s publishing sector in India, support its growth, and promote Turkish literary heritage abroad. Turkish publishers hold copyright negotiations at the stand, while the Ministry provides transportation support for publishing house representatives.
Additionally, Humanist Publishing, a Turkey- and India-based business book publishing house, represents Turkey at the fair between 01-04 February 2025. Specializing in business, personal development, biography, and non-fiction publishing, Humanist Publishing engages with international readers and publishers, introducing Turkish business books and its global publishing vision.
Founder Menekşe Polatcan Serbest shares insights into Turkish business books, personal development, and biography publishing through panel discussions and one-on-one meetings during the fair. The publishing house presents its new projects, author collaborations, and translation programs to visitors.
“We continue our efforts to make Turkish business books more prominent in the international arena. The New Delhi Book Fair is a great opportunity to bring our publishing to a wider audience on a global scale,” says Menekşe Polatcan Serbest, emphasizing Humanist Publishing’s mission to produce high-quality content for the business world.
Participating publishing houses include: Acayip Publication, Kelime Publication, İz Publication, Nar Çocuk, Hümanist, as well as representatives of the Turkish Press and Publishers Copyright and Licensing Society and the Fellowship Program.
At the fair, Turkey showcases 1,252 works, including prestigious publications by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, Turkish literature translated into foreign languages with the support of the TEDA Project, and the latest publications from Turkish publishing houses.
The New Delhi Book Fair plays a vital role in promoting the TEDA Project, which the Ministry of Culture and Tourism manages since 2005. The project provides financial support for the translation and publication of Turkish literary works into foreign languages. So far, 963 publishers receive support for translating 4,234 works in 97 countries and 64 languages.
Under the TEDA Program, 31 Indian publishing houses receive support for the translation of 153 works by 70 Turkish authors into 8 Indian languages (Bengali, Hindi, English, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Tamil, and Urdu).
Humanist Publishing develops new collaborations with industry participants and publishers while showcasing Turkey’s potential in business book publishing on the international stage.
