National Testing Agency (NTA) announced the Common University Entrance Test (CUET UG) 2023 results today on the official website, cuet.samarth.ac.in.

The CUET UG 2023 toppers list and the total number of students earning the highest marks in each subject were also made public by NTA along with the results.

According to the list of CUET top scorers, 5,685 pupils, all of whom took the English exam, received a perfect score. In the second, 4,850 candidates who studied biology, biological studies, biotechnology, and biochemistry scored 100%.

Taking to Twitter, UGC Chairman Mamidala Jagadesh Kumar wrote, “CUET-UG: Subject Wise No of Candidates Securing 100 Percentile Score.”

Subject-wise, English has the biggest percentage of candidates that receive a score in the top percentile, followed by biology and then economics.

According to the number of candidates who scored at the top of their class in each subject, 2,836 individuals scored at the top of their class in economics and business economics, 2,357 candidates in business studies, and 1,796 candidates in political science.

MARKING SYSTEM : CUET UG 2023

The performance of candidates in CUET UG has been assessed using the equi-percentile approach, wherein normalised marks for each candidate have been calculated using the percentiles of each set of students in a particular session over several days for the same subject.

The Percentile scores of a Candidate in the Subject have been calculated as follows:

100 X Number of candidates appeared in the ‘Session’ with raw score EQUAL TO OR LESS than the candidate/ Total number of the candidates appeared in the ‘Session’

Percentile score is not the same as percentage of marks obtained.

About 14,99,790 unique registered candidates took part in the CUET UG 2023 Computer Based Test (CBT) mode, choosing from 64,35,144 test papers. For the academic year 2023–2024, these individuals submitted applications for 48,779 distinct subject combinations across 250 central, state, and other participating universities at various exam centres situated in various locations throughout India and abroad.

The participating universities will start the admissions process for undergraduate CUET courses as soon as the CUET UG result 2023 is released. Candidates must submit their applications online through the relevant university’s official website. In order to determine which applicants are eligible for admission, the universities will thereafter publish the cut-off scores and merit list based on the CUET 2023 result.
