Tohoku University Welcomes President of National Taipei Institute of Technology

Sea-fue Wang, the president of the National Taipei Institute of Technology (Taipei Tech), visited Tohoku University and met with President Teiji Tominaga and Vice President Masahiro Yamaguchi on November 26, 2024.

President Tominaga opened the meeting by touching on the very first exchange between Tohoku University and Taipei Tech in 2008. President Wang invited the late Professor An-Pang Tsai (Institute of Multidisciplinary Research for Advanced Materials) to give a seminar at Taipei Tech. Joint symposiums and exchanges have continued ever since.

President Wang expressed his hope to proactively engage in even more research collaborations in the future. Professor Ho-Chiao (Rick) Chuang, also in attendance, expressed his enthusiasm for promoting more student exchange.

During their time at Tohoku University, the Taipei Tech delegation also visited the Graduate School of Engineering and participated in a symposium at the Institute of Multidisciplinary Research for Advanced Materials.
