The registration period for the stray vacancy round of the TN National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (NEET 2023) counselling for undergraduate (UG) programmes will be closed today by the directorate of medical education and research in Tamil Nadu.

On the official website, tnmedicalselection.net, candidates must register and finish the choice-filling and locking process by 5 PM today. Students who wish to register for both the medical and dentistry programmes must pay a non-refundable registration fee of Rs. 500 for government quota seats and Rs. 1,000 for management quota seats.

For government quota seats in state private institutions and self-financing medical and dentistry institutes, applicants must deposit Rs. 30,000 as security. Students from the SC, SCA, and ST groups who earn less than Rs 2.5 lakhs annually are exempt from paying the security deposit. Candidates do not need to submit their fees again if they previously did so in the previous stages.

TN NEET UG 2023: Required Documents

After completing the registration process, applicants must provide the following papers to the authorities together with the online application form:

  • Grades for classes 10, 11, and 12
  • admit card for the 2023 NEET
  • NEET 2023 outcome
  • transfer authorization
  • Candidates from outside of Tamil Nadu who have partially completed Classes 6 through 12 must provide a nativity certificate.
  • Candidates who attended schools in Tamil Nadu for grades six through twelve must provide a parent’s certificate as evidence of residence.
  • Local certificate
  • properly completed special category form for applicants who fall under groups including athletes, people with impairments, and former service members

Tamil Nadu NEET Counselling 2023: Eligibility  Requirements

Before enrolling for the counselling procedure, candidates are urged to review the Tamil Nadu NEET counselling requirements. The following are the prerequisites for Tamil Nadu NEET Counselling 2023’s basic eligibility:

  • Nationality: The candidate must be an Indian national.
  • Age: The applicant must be at least 17 years old at the time of admission or by December 31, 2023, whichever comes first.
  • Birth: Candidates must be Tamil Nadu natives and must provide a birth certificate as well as a nativity certificate issued by the appropriate government agency along with other proof of identification, such as a passport, ration card, or birth certificate.
  • Candidates who were born in another Indian state but attended school in Tamil Nadu from the sixth to the twelfth grades continuously must present their school’s bona fide certificate in order to be accepted for the open category.
  • Candidates who are Tamil Nadu natives but have completed grades VI through XII of their education outside of Tamil Nadu are able to apply with a nativity certificate and a community certificate issued by the appropriate government, together with the necessary proof of papers.
  • Candidates who achieve at least a 50 percentile on the NEET 2023 (or a 40 percentile for members of the SC, SC, or other historically disadvantaged groups) are eligible to participate in the Tamil Nadu NEET counselling 2023.
  • PwD students who fall under the unreserved category must have scored at least in the forty-fifth percentile (40th percentile for candidates who are SC, ST, or OBC) on the NEET 2023 exam.
  • Candidates must have earned a minimum of 50% (40% for SC/ ST/ OBC candidates) overall marks in the 10+2 disciplines of Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology, and English.
  • PwD aspirants must have received an overall grade of 45% (40% for SC/ ST/ OBC candidates) in Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology, and English in their 10+2 exams.

Tamil Nadu NEET Counselling 2023: Fees

For Tamil Nadu NEET counselling 2023, the application cost is non-refundable. Candidates may pay the fee using nationalised bank net banking or debit card websites. The applicants for online payment will also be responsible for paying the processing fee with appropriate taxes by the individual banks.
