The NLSIU has declared ‘AZB & Partners Scholarship’ for BA LLB honours students.

The National Law School of India University (NLSIU) has announced the ‘AZB & Partners Scholarship’ for the forthcoming academic year 2023-24 in conjunction with the corporate law firm AZB & Partners. The law company and the institution just struck an agreement.

The scholarship would provide financial assistance to five deserving NLSIU BA LLB (Honours) programme students. The scholarship will cover the students’ annual costs for the next five years.
As part of the university’s Inclusion and Expansion Plan 2021-25, the university welcomed its largest cohort of 240 students into the BA LLB (Hons) curriculum this year.

“The distribution of the scholarship fund to the recipients will adhere to the NLSIU Financial Aid Policy,” the university noted in an official statement. “We are thrilled to be collaborating with NLSIU, our country’s premier law school, on this initiative to assist deserving and meritorious law students while also laying the groundwork for a legal foundation that will benefit our profession.” NLSIU has provided some of our Firm’s top lawyers over the years, and we see this as an opportunity to give back to NLSIU students,” remarked the AZB team.

“We gratefully acknowledge the valuable contribution of AZB and Partners to our scholarship funds,” NLSIU registrar N S Nigam remarked. Their generosity ensures that students who would otherwise struggle to fund their studies at NLSIU will now be able to benefit from this wonderful gesture. Scholarship efforts from top law firms such as AZB and Partners will be crucial as NLSIU fulfils its objective to provide a more inclusive education.”
