A global open innovation challenge called “CAUSE 2023” has been announced by the private CMR University (CMRU) in Bengaluru as a part of the university’s signature event “Design Thinking Day” (DTD), which will take place on March 17, 2023. According to a statement, the innovation competition “CAUSE 2023” intends to provide students with a global stage to inspire them to find creative solutions to issues in the real world that are in line with the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
The message further mentioned that February 24, 2023, is the last day to register for ‘CAUSE 2023’. K–12 schools and higher education institutions are the two main categories for student involvement in the tournament. The competition is open to students worldwide enrolled in undergraduate or graduate programmes in grades five to twelve. We hope to prepare our students for a future they do not know, for careers that do not yet exist, and for all of life’s problems through CMR University’s Common Core Curriculum. We want ‘Design Thinking Day,’ our premier annual event, to serve as a global forum for students to connect, collaborate, and develop long-lasting solutions to pressing real-world issues from a human perspective while celebrating the spirit of creativity. CMR University’s provost, Tristha Ramamurthy, stated.
The CMR University reports the chosen teams will get the opportunity to present and engage with the Jury during the Design Thinking Day to showcase their work. The winners of this round will also get the chance to present their ideas to the jury. The chosen teams will then participate in “Ground Zero,” the CAUSE 2023 Global Innovation Challenge’s grand finale. A cash prize will be given to the winners from a prize pool that totals more than one lakh, it added.
