The Indian Army has issued an invitation to apply for the position of Judge Advocate General (JAG) in 2023. Male and female unmarried law graduates who passed the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) for a Short Service Commission in the Indian Army’s Judge Advocate General Branch. The recruitment is being held to fill a total of 7 vacancies, 5 of which are for men and 2 for women. The programme will last 49 weeks and will take place at the Officers programme Academy (OTA) in Chennai.
The University of Madras will grant a Post Graduate Diploma (PG Diploma) in Defence Management and Strategic Studies to all applicants who successfully complete pre-commission training at OTA, Chennai.

Candidates who are 21 to 27 years old as of January 1, 2024, born no earlier than January 2, 1997, and no later than January 1, 2003 (both dates included) will be eligible to apply for the position. Candidates must have obtained a minimum of 55% in their LLB degree exams. Furthermore, for LLM qualified and LLM appearing students, a CLAT PG 2023 score is required. “All candidates desirous of applying for JAG Entry must have their CLAT PG 2023 result verified at the Selection Centre prior to the conduct of the SSB,” the announcement stated.

  • Read the instructions carefully before clicking “Continue” to complete the application.
  • Enter your personal, communication, and educational information.
  • Now, go over the application form and submit it.
