IIT Madras conducts a course on campus between December 5 and 16. The registration deadline is December 2. Those who are interested can register at wsaqc.pravartak.org.in.

The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Madras Pravartak Technologies Foundation is hosting a two-week course on ‘Advanced Quantum Computing,’ complete with IBM QISKIT instruction. The course is being given in partnership with ACM India and the Mphasis Centre for Quantum Information, Communications, and Computing (MCQuICC).

According to IIT Madras, the new course will provide specific themes to participants who are already familiar with the principles of quantum computing. It will also include the QISKIT runtime, which will eventually become the default programming approach in IBM QISKIT.

People from industries, govt organizations  can participate

The two-week-long course will be conducted on the IIT Madras campus between December 5 and 16. It will be open to participants from industries and government organizations. The last day to register is December 2. Candidates can register at the official link

This school is a follow-up to the ACM school on quantum computing that was held in January 2022. The program’s goal is to teach participants how to use sophisticated IBM QISKIT modules on quantum machine learning, quantum finance, and quantum simulation.

The Department of Science and Technology (DST) of the Government of India funds the IIT Madras Pravartak Technologies Foundation as part of its National Mission on Interdisciplinary Cyber-Physical Systems. Its goal is to develop and commercialize solutions in the field of Cyber-Physical Systems, with a focus on Indian requirements.
