Today, September 21, the Staff Selection Commission released the SSC JHT 2023 Paper 2 date. According to the timetable, the JHT, JT, and SHT test 2023 (Paper 2) will be held on December 31, 2023. The Commission will hold the SSC JHT paper 1 online on October 16. Candidates taking paper 2 of the Junior Hindi Translator, Junior Translator, and Senior Hindi Translator test, 2023, should keep the test date in mind.
The official announcement states, “The Commission has decided to hold the Junior Hindi Translator, Junior Translator, and Senior Hindi Translator Examination, 2023 (Paper) on December 31, 2023.”

SSC JHT Recruitment 2023: Process of Selection
- This SSC recruitment campaign is being held to fill 307 JHT positions across several Central government agencies. Candidates will be selected for Translator Paper 2 based on their performance in Paper 1.
- Candidates’ ability to translate and compose essays will be tested in SSC JHT paper 2. This two-hour test will be descriptive in nature. It will be worth 200 points.
- The final merit list for SSC JHT will be compiled based on applicants’ performance in papers 1 and 2. The SSC will establish the cut off for each category. Candidates who pass the cut-off for their category will be shortlisted for document verification.
- Recruitment is underway for a variety of positions, including Junior Hindi Translator, Junior Translator, Senior Hindi Translator, and Hindi Pradhyapak.

SSC Junior Translator Exam Pattern
- There will be 200 multiple-choice questions worth one mark each.
- The test will last 2 hours and 40 minutes for applicants who belong to the scribes.
- Each wrong answer will result in a 0.25 point deduction.
Paper I (Computer-Based Examination)
- Negative marking is used, with 0.25 points deducted for each erroneous response.
- Correct answers: Each correct answer is worth one point.
