Singapore S&CC Rebate January 2025: Payout Date and Amount!

The Singaporean households living in Housing Board Flats (HDB) will receive the rebate and cost of living assistance announced in the Budget 2024 under the Assurance Package and GST voucher scheme in January 2025.

The Singaporeans will receive government assistance in Jan 2025 to survive the rising cost of living and GST expenses, especially for lower-to-moderate income families. On 30 Dec 2024, the Singapore Finance Ministry press release said that around 950,000 households will receive the benefit from the S&CC rebate and U-Save benefit.

In the budget 2024, the government has announced the assurance package and GST voucher for the FY 2024-25 for the Singaporeans to help them survive the rising cost of living. The Service & Conservancy Charges Rebate is a part of the same initiative, where people will receive the rebate to offset the S&CC fees for the HDB households and lower the financial burden.

The authority will disburse the four months’ rebate to the eligible households in Jan 2025 to your S&CC payment or account. The payment will cover the S&CC cost quarterly, where the additional half-month S&CC rebate applied to January 2025 payments.

What makes you eligible to receive the S&CC Rebate Jan 2025?

Under the S&CC (Service and Conservancy Charges) Rebate scheme, Singaporean families who meet the following conditions will receive the upcoming Jan 2025 rebate:

• You must be living in the HDB flat and there must be at least one Singapore citizen in the household or occupier in the flat;
• The HDB flat occupier or owner does not have any interest or own any private property across the country.
• The HDB flat owners should not have rented the whole flat, otherwise they might not be eligible to receive the rebate.

As previously mentioned, the S$CC rebates are based on the type of HDB flat, such as one-room, two-room, etc. The Jan 2025 S&CC rebates include both the Budget 2024 Cost of Living rebate and the Regular GST voucher rebate.

 Singaporean households who meet the S&CC rebate eligibility conditions do not need to claim the rebate as the rebate does not need any application. The authority will automatically credit the rebate to the S&CC account of the HDB flat owners or essential occupiers.

The government will use the Town council information and data to determine the eligibility of the households and process the payment to offset the bill for the households. The Jan 2025 will offset the one-month bill for the eligible households through the fourth quarterly payment of 2024.

• You can visit the My HDBPage through the HDB infoWeb portal;
• Log in to the account with your Singpass credentials and go to the My Flat option.
• Next, you should go to the purchased/ rental flat option (as per your situation).
• In the Purchased/ Rental flats section, you will see the S&CC rebate, where you can see the S&CC rebate applicable for Jan 2025 on the screen.

People who wish to know the status of their S&CC rebate can contact their respective  Town councils and ask them about the S&CC account status or payment of Jan 2025.

What to do if you do not receive the S&CC rebate Jan 2025?

The S&CC rebate is part of the regular GST voucher and budget 2024 cost of living measures which will be delivered to the households in Jan 2025, however, if by any chance the households see that they have not received the rebate in their S&CC account, they should contact the Town council immediately.
