SBI PO Exam: What Is It?

Every year, State Bank of India (SBI) holds the SBI PO test to determine who is qualified for the position of probationary officer. According to the number of openings, many people apply for the exam, but only a select few are chosen.

One of the most coveted banking tests in the nation is the SBI PO. Successful applicants are assigned to various bank branches as Probationary Officers. There are three parts of the SBI PO exam: preliminary, main, and psychometric test, interview, and group exercises. Every year, almost 10 lakh applicants apply to take the SBI PO test.

Many candidates hurry to register for the numerous tests held by the bank since SBI is a prominent institution that provides its workers with generous wages and job security.

New SBI PO Changes

SBI made several updates to the PO recruiting process in 2022. Several modifications include:

  • The exam format included a psychometric test. Candidates must show up for the psychometric before the group activities and the interview. The psychometric examination has a qualifying purpose.
  • SBI raised the application costs from INR 600 to INR 750 for General/EWS and OBC, whereas it was INR 125 for SC/ST/PWD. The SC/ST/PWD group is excluded from paying fees.
