The Rabindra Bharati University (RBU) has begun the online application process for admission to a number of postgraduate degrees on the university’s official website, rbu.ac.in.
The RBU has opened the application period for the two-year integrated Master of Library and Information Science (MLibISc), the one-year MLibISc, the Bachelor of Education (BEd in Special Education in Visual Impairment and Inclusive Education) and the Bachelor of Education (Special Education in Hearing Impairment and Inclusive Education), the Diploma in Tagore Literature, and the Postgraduate (PG) Diploma in Manuscriptology and Palaeography (PGDMP). Candidates may submit applications for the programmes until October 8.
Eligibility Criteria: MLibIsc
Freshmen applying for the MLibISc programme should hold a technical degree (10+2+4 or 10+2+5), a master’s degree (with honours), a bachelor’s degree (hons), or both. Working professionals must possess a bachelor’s (hons) degree and demonstrate employment history as a full-time salaried employee in any government library or other accredited institution.
Candidates who have a certificate in library science must also submit a bachelor’s (hons) degree with honours. Freshman applicants who took a gap from their studies for more than two years would not be accepted.
Eligibility Criteria: BEd (Special Education)
A minimum of 50% in the bachelor’s degree and/or the master’s degree in social sciences, humanities, or sciences is required for applicants to the BEd (Special Education) curricula. Students with a bachelor’s degree in engineering or technology should have at least a 55% grade point average. Candidates from the SC, ST, OBC, and PH categories will have their qualifying scores relaxed by 5%.

- Create a User ID by visiting RBU’s official website.
- Fill out the application with consideration for your academic and professional background.
- Upload your signature and a photo that doesn’t exceed 100 KB in size.
- Pay the 250 INR application fee plus 150 INR in extra bank fees to SBI Collect using a credit or debit card.

- The SBI Challan is available for download on the official website and may be used to pay the application fee as well.
- Click Save and Submit, then print the fully completed application form.

Q. What is Rabindra Bharati University’s lodging facility?
Ans. There are now five student residences at the university, two for guys (one for SC/ST boys), and three for girls. The boys’ hostel has a total intake capacity of 145 boarders, while the ladies’ dormitories can hold 50 boarders. The institution does not always promise dormitory housing to distant students.
